Vision

If you read anything about property in the news, it’s likely to be something about the housing crisis, homelessness, the need for affordable housing or rogue landlords. None of it is very pleasant reading. It’s upsetting that the private rental industry, landlords and agents often get a bad name, because it affects those of us who are striving to do a good, professional job. Luckily, the government and the lobbying bodies such as the NRLA, are making progress with creating change in the industry and at the time of writing, there is consultation underway so that several long-standing pieces of legislation and gaps in policy can be reformed. This includes more rights and protection for tenants and assurances for landlords and agents who are on the verge of being forced to quit the industry because of rising costs and restrictions. Our vision is to lead by example, so we can do our bit to raise the overall quality of the private rented sector and to raise the confidence that tenants have in the landlord and agent community. We do this through our mission and values but also by networking with – and presenting to – other landlords and rental organisations, and working with them to share knowledge and resources.
